Best glow up app without a face scan (or any selfie)
Glow up apps that don't scan or score your face, checked against their own App Store listings, plus the ones that do and what they do with the photos.

ok so a lot of glow up apps start the same way: take a selfie, get a score. some girls love that. some of us would rather not have an app measure our canthal tilt before coffee. if that's you, this is the short list.
we checked each app's own US App Store listing on 2026-10-29: what it says it does with your face, and what its privacy label (written by the developer, not checked by Apple) says about your photos.
no face scan
1. the Baddie Meter (ours)
the Baddie Meter never asks for a photo. there's no upload anywhere in it. you pick challenges from 68 free ones across attitude, glam, fit, social and flirt, do them, and score out of 100. the score is about what you DID, not what your face looks like. it's free, and it's a website, so there's nothing to install.

where it loses: no AI coach, no reminders, no skin analysis, and it's not an app store app. what we do keep: your email, date of birth, the challenges you picked and any private notes. we use Google Analytics too.
2. Glim
Glim is morning and night self care rituals: breathwork, stretches, short meditations and journaling prompts, with reminders and widgets. its listing doesn't mention selfies, scans or rating your looks. it's $7.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan. its privacy label lists purchases, name, email, user content, identifiers and usage data as linked to you.
pick Glim over us if your glow up is mostly a calmer routine, not makeup, outfits or nerve.
these ones do use your face
| app | what it does with your face | what its privacy label says about photos | price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glow 75 | a selfie check-in gives you a "Glow Score" | photos or videos linked to you | $7.99 a week, yearly plans listed at $22.99 and $34.99 |
| YouGlow | face and body scans for ratings and plans | photos or videos linked to you, plus sensitive info | $3.99 a week up to $29.99 a year |
| Looksglo | face analysis, symmetry, celebrity lookalikes, and optional ratings from other users | photos or videos linked to you, used for the developer's advertising or marketing and analytics | $9.99 a week or $34.99 a year |
| UGlow | a face scan progress tracker | photos or videos linked to you | $8.99 a month or $62.99 a year |
none of this means those apps are bad. if you WANT a face analysis, they're built for it, and the full glow up apps comparison says who each one suits. this page is just for the girls who'd rather skip the selfie.
who should pick an app with a face scan
pick one if seeing a number from your photos move is what keeps you going, or you want skincare suggestions from a picture of your skin. Glow 75 is the closest to us in how it works, see Baddie Meter vs Glow 75.
who should pick the Meter
anyone who wants the glow up to be about what they do, not a rating of their face. pick five challenges, do one today, keep your streak. no photo, ever 馃拫
