ok so i went through the glow up apps so you don't have to. well, through their App Store pages, which is where they say what they do and what they cost. here are five real ones, plus the one we made, which is free and never asks for your face.

the Baddie Meter (ours)
the Baddie Meter is a free challenge tracker. there are 68 free challenges across attitude, glam, fit, social and flirt. each one is worth 3, 5 or 8 points depending on how hard it is, and each category counts for 20 max, so the only way to 100 is all five. you pick up to 5 at a time, do them, tap "did it", and the number goes up. one a day keeps your streak.

a few of the free challenges, as they show on the Meter. screenshot from our own local build, 2026-10-29.
- no photos. it never asks for one. you can add a private note to a challenge and only you see it.
- sharing is optional. a shared Meter shows your score, level and first name. never your challenges or notes.
- it's a website, not an app. it opens in your phone's browser. an account needs an email and your date of birth, and you have to be 13 or older.
where it loses, honestly: no AI coach, no reminders or notifications, no skin analysis, no workouts, no meal plans, and no fixed day-by-day plan. if you want someone to hand you today's task, the 7-Day Baddie Reset does that for $19 once, or pick one of the apps below.
Glow 75
a 75-day glow up challenge. you choose soft, medium or hard and follow a daily plan, with daily check-ins, streaks, a progress calendar and milestones on days 7, 25 and 50. it has an AI "Glow Coach" for skincare and habit questions, and a "Glow Score" from a selfie check-in (its listing says the score isn't a medical or skin assessment). you can pause without breaking your streak. it's in 9 languages.
its privacy label (written by the developer, Access2 GmbH) lists purchases, identifiers and usage data as used to track you, and photos or videos as linked to you.
who should pick Glow 75: anyone who wants a fixed 75-day plan with a set task every day, likes a selfie score to watch, and doesn't mind a subscription. full comparison: Baddie Meter vs Glow 75, or Glow 75 alternatives.
YouGlow
an AI glow up coach built on face and body scans. it gives ratings and plans from the scans: skincare plans for things like acne or dullness, workouts from a body scan, meal plans by body type, plus streaks, daily pledges and a community. its listing says the content is AI suggestions, not medical advice, and full access needs a subscription. it needs iOS 18.4 or later.
who should pick YouGlow: anyone who wants a scan-based skincare and fitness plan in one app. we don't do diet or meal plans, on purpose, so if that's what you're after, it's not us.
Looksglo
this one is about your face. you upload a face photo and get face shape and skin analysis, face maps, measurements like symmetry and canthal tilt, celebrity lookalikes, and you can post your photo for feedback from other users. it's rated 18+ and everything is behind premium. its privacy label lists your photos as linked to you and used for the developer's advertising or marketing.
who should pick Looksglo: adults who actively want their face measured and rated, by an app and by strangers. if that sounds stressful, skip it, and read glow up apps without a face scan.
UGlow
daily routines for fitness, skincare and diet, a meal logger with calories and macros, a face scan progress tracker, an AI coach and streaks. its listing says the features need the paid subscription.
who should pick UGlow: anyone who wants food tracking and workouts in the same place as skincare. again, we don't do food or weight, so for that part it's not us.
Glim
the gentle one. guided morning and night rituals: breathwork, stretches, short meditations, journaling prompts and reminders, with widgets. no streaks on purpose, and its listing doesn't mention selfies or scans.
who should pick Glim: anyone whose glow up is mostly about a calmer routine and better mornings, not makeup, outfits or nerve.
how to pick
- you want to be told exactly what to do every day: Glow 75, or our 7-Day Baddie Reset if you'd rather pay $19 once than a subscription.
- you want your face analysed: YouGlow or Looksglo. that's the whole point of them.
- you want food and workouts tracked: UGlow or YouGlow.
- you want calmer mornings: Glim.
- you want to actually do the baddie stuff (the liner, the fit, the text you should've sent) and keep score for free, no selfie: the Baddie Meter. the how to glow up guide tells you what order to do it in.
FAQ
is there a free glow up app?
the Baddie Meter is free, but it's a website, not an app store app. every app on this page is a free download with paid plans, and for most of them the main features need the plan.
do glow up apps need a selfie?
Glow 75, YouGlow, Looksglo and UGlow all use a selfie or face scan for at least one feature, going by their own listings. Glim's listing doesn't mention one. the Baddie Meter never asks for a photo.
which glow up app is best?
the one that matches what you actually want to change. face analysis, food tracking, calm mornings and doing the baddie stuff are four different apps. pick the job first, then the app ✨
